Plan once. Then keep planning as reality changes.
A plan is only true at the moment it is published. Finmile keeps asking whether today's plan is still the best plan, and changes it with everyone it touches when it is not.
The work that sits between your systems.
Your systems know the business. Your people know how it actually runs. The gap between them is where the day goes.
What dispatch absorbs today.
Planning software produces a plan. It does not chase the driver, call the customer or decide which promise gives way when two of them cannot both be kept.
- Rebuild the plan by hand when a vehicle or driver drops out.
- Work out which commitments the change puts at risk.
- Ring round to find somebody qualified and available.
- Explain the change to every driver and customer it touches.
- Do it again at the next change, and the one after that.
What Finmile owns instead.
A planning worker holds the objective rather than the plan. It watches demand, capacity, progress and constraints, reoptimises when the plan stops being the best one, and coordinates the change with everyone it affects.
- Watch demand, capacity, progress and constraints continuously.
- Reoptimise when the current plan is no longer the best plan.
- Reassign work to a qualified and available resource.
- Tell drivers, customers and partners what changed.
- Keep the systems of record in step with reality.
The workers on this job.
Each worker owns an outcome rather than a queue, and you decide what it may do on its own.
Dispatch CoverFind qualified cover and move the work when a resource is lost.
Live ReplanningResequence the day when the road, the site or the customer changes.
The loop it runs, every time.
Give Finmile an outcome. It does not stop at the recommendation, it finishes the job.
Understand
Demand, capacity, progress, traffic or a constraint moves. Finmile sees the change against the live plan.
Investigate
It checks what the change puts at risk: which commitments, which resources and which customers.
Decide
It tests whether a better plan exists, and whether publishing it is permitted by your authority model.
Act
It reoptimises, reassigns, resequences and tells every driver, customer and partner the change touches.
Follow through
It keeps evaluating the plan for the rest of the day and records what the change achieved.
Authority, evidence and audit.
Autonomous does not mean uncontrolled. Every worker runs inside boundaries you write and can change.
Planning and dispatch questions.
Can Finmile automatically dispatch drivers, technicians or field workers?
Yes. Finmile can evaluate location, availability, skills, working time, job priority, customer constraints and required equipment before assigning or reassigning work. It can contact the worker, confirm acceptance, update the schedule and notify the customer. High-impact or unusual changes can remain subject to dispatcher approval.
How does Finmile decide what action to take?
Finmile combines live operational context, approved data, business policy, deterministic rules and the history of similar work. It evaluates the available options against the worker's objective and authority. The action may be fully autonomous, require approval or be escalated. The information used, reason for the decision and resulting action are recorded.
Can Finmile make operational decisions autonomously?
Yes, where the organisation has authorised it. Each worker is given defined objectives, information access, permitted actions, financial or operational limits and escalation rules. Routine decisions can be made autonomously inside those boundaries. Decisions involving uncertainty, higher value, safety, policy exceptions or sensitive relationships can require human approval.
How does Finmile know when a workflow has actually been completed?
Each worker is configured with an explicit objective and completion conditions. These might include a confirmed delivery, accepted appointment, valid document, restored compliance, completed refund or reconciled invoice. Finmile verifies the relevant system event or evidence before closing the case, rather than treating an intermediate action as the final outcome.
When does Finmile require human approval?
Approval can be required whenever a decision exceeds a financial limit, affects safety, creates regulatory exposure, conflicts with policy or needs commercial or relationship judgement. Finmile can still investigate the case, assemble the evidence and recommend the next action. The person receives a complete decision package rather than an unexplained alert.
